Question #6
What are the risks in running the intrepid eeepc kernel?
Answer:
Probably not much. Intrepid is the latest release of Ubuntu and the intrepid eeepc kernel is very closely related to the intrepid generic kernel from Ubuntu.
Technically, the intrepid eeepc kernel can be dropped onto a desktop or another notebook and should work just like the generic kernel would.
In case you have a problem with the eeepc kernel, it's always a good idea to validate your problem against the generic kernel. Doing this can rule out whether or not your problem is local to the eeepc custom kernel, or if its an issue with the generic generic (upstream) Ubuntu kernel.
