Description

The madwifi drivers provide wireless ethernet connectivity for the EeePC 900A and earlier.

Support for the EeePC's Atheros AR5007 chipset was made possible by reverse engineering the firmware. The end result is not a 100% open-sourced solution, and poorer performance.

Current version is based upon the madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6 branch revision 3869

Known Issues

• Poor reception.

Changes in intrepid

The madwifi module doesn't (yet) exist in intrepid. The ath5k module is used for wireless instead.
