Proposed Kernel Upgrade

New kernel packages available for testing Posted on 2008-10-02 01:50:41 By Adam McDaniel Sorry for the half-assed update. its 2am and i need sleep :T I wanted to post an upgrade tonight for users connected to the hardy-proposed repository.. preliminary 2.6.24-22-eeepc changes include Upgraded elantech driver to v5. See http://arjan.opmeer.net/elantech/ (You must manually enable the elantech code by setting a the psmouse elantech parameter. I.e., create/append to the file: /etc/modprobe.d/eeepc options psmouse elantech=1 You'll know if it's working if you see "elantech" mentioned in /var/log/messages eeepc-config upgrade for Ubuntu-eee users. Note these are testing packages only. Tomorrow i'll post a formal announcement on the eeeuser.com forum, with instructions on how to link to hardy-proposed.
