In an effort to gauge the number of users actually linked into the kernel, I've issued a minor update to all meta-packages for force them to re-download.
These meta-packages are very small (between 3k and 21k) and will not actually make any changes on your eeepc. I'll use the information of how many times each package was downloaded to plan releases of future updates.
The following packages in 'hardy', 'hardy-proposed', and 'intrepid' have been upgraded with this census are:
- linux-eeepc
- linux-eeepc-lean (intrepid only)
- linux-image-eeepc
- linux-image-eeepc-lean (intrepid only)
- linux-headers-eeepc
- linux-headers-eeepc-lean (intrepid only)
I'll post some of the results here after a few days.
(Note, no personal information is being collected for this census. I'm just curious about the numbers of users actually using each distrobution.)
Thanks ;) |
