Description

The uvcvideo module provides webcam drivers for all EeePC models.

Current version in hardy is downloaded from the svn trunk revision 249
SVN root: http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/linux-uvc/linux-uvc/trunk

Current version in intrepid is v0.1.0, which is the same version released by Ubuntu in their generic intrepid kernel. No further upgrades were necessary in the eeepc intrepid kernels.

Known Issues

• Many EeePCs are shipped with the webcam disabled in the BIOS. When the user boots into ubuntu for the first time they find that the webcam will not work. This isn't a problem with the driver per se, but uvcvideo honours the BIOS setting, unlike Xandros which ignored it.
